Summer update

Sorry there has been such a lapse in posts. Here's what we've been up to.. Mark has been trying to work a little extra each weekend. When he has some spare time he's been mastering his skills at flying his radio controlled helicopters. Yes, that was plural. Melanie has been taking extra swim lessons and has progressed really quickly. She can swim freestyle, flip on her back for a breath or two, flip back over and continue swimming to the edge in this manner. In addition she can dive in off the edge, turn herself around and swim back to the edge and pull up out of the water. She can also swim the backstroke. Yes, all those hours of watching "Finding Nemo" have paid off. She says that she has a little fin. And I have trained for and competed in my first triathlon. It was a blast. I finished 2nd in my age division (out of 13). Not too shabby. I'm already signed up for another one in October. We are all happy and healthy and just trying to stay out of the heat. We haven't taken many pictures lately. This is all we've got for now. Enjoy!
