Guangzhou

Ok, back to baby. Our hotel (White Swan) is where most of the adopting families stay. We are officially no longer the freaks. The small island we are on here caters to the adoptive families. There's a street lined with shops for souveniers and everthing baby. Clothes are dirt cheap here (made in China, of course), especially if you know how to bargain. They have soft leather shoes for children for around 5 dollars. Melanie is showing off her new "squeaky shoes". The shoes sqeak (like a rubber duck) when the kids step on the heal to encourage them to learn to walk. Melanie loves hers. This is the most she's practiced walking since we got her. In the last picture she was so proud of herself she decided to stop walking for a second to give herself a round of applause. Tomorrow is a free day for us (finally). I think we have a few more shops to check out. Look out Mark, now there's two girls to dress up. Incase you haven't noticed, the happy baby was back today.
